Newcastle residents are not required to purchase a permit from the City of Newcastle on this weekend. All residents need to do is call the Chamber to be added to the listing to not be required to purchase a permit. Listings are provided the Thursday before the beginning day of the sales at area convenience stores and City Hall. Want to be added to the list? - Email us and include your name, phone number, address of sale and days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). **Please note that if you do not live in the Newcastle City Limits, you will need to check with your city for permit requirements. The City Wide Garage Sales is the Chamber encouraging the habit of buying, selling and donating pre-owned items to raise awareness of the importance of reuse. Reuse keeps items out of the landfill, increases their useful life and reduces the problems associated with resource extraction and processing. Recycling is good, but reuse is even better! Bargain hunters from all over the Oklahoma City Metro and as far away as Texas come to Newcastle to pick through the sales. Garage Sales are a great way to help your community and the environment.
