**News Flash** |
The call volume from 2005 was 786 to 1,012 calls for 2006, with growth comes increased call volume. Unfortunately in 2006, with dry weather conditions for a prolonged period, the Department received numerous wild fire calls from the community as well as surrounding areas. The Department is the area’s First Responder for Blanchard, Bridge Creek, Goldsby and Tuttle, which are all Volunteer Fire Departments.
Dedicated to the community, the Department participates in
Fire Protection Month training in the schools and local day care/pre school facilities. The Department also participates each year in the Annual Fill the Boot program for MDA. The Department also collected for Hurricane Katrina relief for the American Red Cross, their collection contributed $5,000 to the effort.
